Last Sunday we took a trip to the Golden Triangle. The Golden Triangle is the name for the region where Thailand, Burma and Laos meet, separated by the Ruak and Mekong rivers. The area is notorious for its extensive opium production. For about a century the region has been the world’s major producer of heroin only recently surpassed by Afghanistan.
