
Harnessing our energy with Tai Chi
Tai Chi (“supreme ultimate fist”) is a discipline that helps bring body and mind closer together. It helps create balance between Yin and Yang, flexibility and strength. It makes our mind strong, determined and focused. It sharpens our awareness of body movements creating mindfulness. In Tai Chi, we connect outside energy to inner energy, outer body movements to the mind’s peacefulness.
The primary goal is to calm and relax the mind, but there are also other important health benefits: improved posture, enhanced blood circulation and digestion, restored nervous system and an elevated mood that can help alleviate depression.
Tai Chi practice leads to changes in our mind and habits. We become more mindful, patient and forgiving and our thinking is sharper and more determined.
