We organize various art workshops at New Life: painting, drawing, pottery, and many other forms of art. The goal of these workshops is always to gain understanding; understanding of our emotions, our thoughts and our feelings. We create art in order to improve our mental and emotional well-being. One does not have to be a professional artist, the only thing one needs is openness and curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
In art therapy we try to liberate ourselves from our continuos judging; there is no right or wrong in art, it’s not about beautiful or ugly. We practice art in order to learn something about ourselves, it will teach us to handle our emotions in a healthy and balanced way. It’s a great tool that will enable us to cultivate awareness and improve self-esteem.
During our art workshops the participants also receive a unique chance to develop some new skills, skills they will be able to use in their New LIfe.
