In particular, we would like to congratulate community member James Main for topping the list of fundraisers by raising 21.000 baht! His prize is a session with our talented masseuse, Rika. Second prize goes to Zacheria Brown, who has a healing session scheduled with our Reiki master, Merynel. We would also like to give a shout out to the following New Lifers for their special help with the campaign: Candice, Chris, Merynel, Julien, and Glenda.
So far, our fundraising tally is at a phenomenal 58.400 baht, and we hope that we will be able to raise more in order to reach our campaign goal of 100.000 baht.
Your contribution will help us build Naha a sunlit and airy wooden hut to replace the 6 x 8 foot hovel she lives in now. She’ll have a toilet, instead of a hole in the ground, as well as a ramp, so that she can finally use her donated wheelchair.
Naha lives in a village where poverty and despair have forced some residents into drug trafficking.
As many of our New Life Residents work to overcome drug addiction, we feel it only appropriate to reach out to our nearby community to help those who have also suffered because of drugs.
We hope to provide ongoing support for Naha. If you’d like to help, you can make a donation at New Life’s website through PayPal.
Here you can make a one-time gift as well as ongoing monthly contributions to support Naha or a New Life resident.
You can also visit our Simply Giving page if you would like to make a donation, or, support Raul Campos’ marathon run for the Naha Appeal on April 21, 2013.
Again, thank you for contribution. New Life depends on generous supporters like you. We’re glad to count you among our friends.
