At morning meeting, we get our teamwork assignments and new arrivals introduce themselves. Today we had 3 to welcome: Ronald, a social worker from The Netherlands; Frank, Asa and their toddler, corporate bailouts, now permanent travelers; and Stefano, a Swiss/Ecuadorian living in Panama.
One volunteer said his goodbye with a quote from Gandhi to describe our personal struggles with the demons within: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you and then you win.”
Resident Josh announced he was organizing a trip to tonight’s AA meeting in Chiang Rai.
Today’s schedule of activities is posted on the blackboard:
8:30 Community work; life coaching for residents
1:30 Community work for volunteers; Relapse Prevention Workshop for residents
4:00 Tai Chi

7:45 Community Meeting (we’ll share “what we learned today”)
New Life is busy, far from boring, once in awhile even exciting.
