Phillippe became interested in New Life Foundation since it offered many of his interests, but didn’t expect to feel so settled that he has now decided to stay for indefinite time. In this interview Phillippe explains why he found the Enneagram work to be such powerful practice.
We’ve been diversifying our agricultural projects here at New Life with straw mushroom cultivation. Straw mushrooms are nutritious, inexpensive, and easy to grow, and have a low impact on the environment. This is how we did it:
Brian arrived at the New Life Foundation on his 35th birthday and has experienced a profound change in many different aspects of his life since then. Finally clean after 15 years of addiction, Brian’s plans for his new life are to come back to Thailand to enjoy in his recently found passion: to teach the children at the local school.
Whether we want it or not, the issues we are struggling with, our personality traits and our expectations of life are strongly influenced by our parents. Healing these wounds in both oneself and in the family at large is what we work with in the Family Constellations workshops, which are offered here at New Life Foundation.
It is Sunday and I am out with a couple of other residents and volunteers on an excursion. With a very special ‘tour guide’ we are lucky enough to experience Thai culture and get a background on the history of the places we visit.
I admire the striving I have encountered here at New Life to think outside the box, to find new creative ways to reach happiness no matter what the cultural expectations or societal norms keep telling us, but also acceptance and love for each other as we are.
Ex-military man Richard from New York joined the team at New Life Foundation recently.
